Kick & Punt Returner
Class of 2016
Nicholas (#21) played and lettered for the Eagles in the fall of '13, '14 and '15 as a running back, monster/SS, and a kick & punt returner. He was an intelligent player with “sneaky” athleticism and always played with grit. Nick was a great player who was surrounded by great teammates.
After graduating from high school, Nicholas headed for Penn State where he entered the ROTC program. He graduated in 2020 and was commissioned in the Navy as an officer. In early 2021 Nicholas began training in flight school and graduated in March of 2023 in Pensacola, FL.
Nicholas moved to San Diego and now flies the MH-60 Rumeo.

Gregg Williams coached football and softball for Cumberland Valley for 26 years. In football, he served as the JV defensive coordinator, and worked with defensive backs and the offensive line. Highlights include being part of a Cumberland Valley coaching staff that won 13 District titles and one State Championship.
As a coach, Williams worked to build relationships with all his players...he was someone who tried to help all players learn the importance of discipline and what it meant to be part of a team.
Since leaving Cumberland Valley, Williams coached football at Boiling Springs high school for seven years with Brad Zell (another former CV football player), retiring after last season.
Williams does, however, continue to coach softball at Cumberland Valley and just completed his 33rd year.

Jim was a dedicated member of the Cumberland Valley Midget Football Association (CVMFA) for 24 seasons. During this time, he served 13 years as a board member along with being a coach for various CVMFA teams. In 2014, Jim was inducted into the Capital Football Association League Hall of Fame.
Jim was a CVMFA head coach for four seasons which included winning two championships in 2016 and 2018. His success led to his being named coach of the year in 2016.
Jim feels that his greatest contribution to the Cumberland Valley football family was teaching these young men how to play the game safely and with respect … preparing them to play in High School … teaching valuable life lessons about hard work … and learning how to take responsibility for what they do (it's bigger than the game).
He also feels blessed to have made so many friends within the community by coaching their players and thanks everyone in the CV football community for this honor.
Go Eagles!
